THE OPPORTUNITY

Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of marketing insights and analytics to drive customer understanding, optimize marketing performance, and inform growth decisions. You will build and mentor a high-performing team, integrate research and analytics into planning cycles, and partner closely with Marketing and Finance to translate data into action.

LOCATION

This position will be based in our Newport Beach, CA office 4 days per week (with work from home on Friday). Remote work is not available for this role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Set the enterprise insights and marketing analytics strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned to business goals.

  • Lead a blended function spanning consumer/ marketing science, and decision analytics.

  • Own marketing measurement: MMM, MTA, incrementality testing, and experimentation frameworks to quantify ROI, CAC/LTV, and channel effectiveness. 

  • Lead the analytics for the Brand Marketing team on product strategy, menu testing, in-market performance tracking, and promotion analysis.

  • Build and maintain consumer segmentation; partner with media teams to activate segments to accelerate growth.

  • Partner with Finance on forecasting and scenario modeling; inform annual plan, budget allocation and media mix decisions.

  • Drive test-and-learn culture: design A/B and multivariate tests, uplift models, and causal inference studies.

  • Select and manage vendors and agencies (MMM/MTA partners, research firms, panel providers); negotiate scope and performance.

  • Refine Competitive & Consumer Intelligence – macroeconomic, competitive, and Chipotle consumer understanding – and deliver executive-ready presentations.

  • Build, coach, and retain a diverse team; establish standards for methodology, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Communicate insights to senior leadership with crisp narratives and decision-oriented recommendations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 12+ years of experience in marketing analytics, consumer insights, or related fields.

  • 5+ years of experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Proven experience implementing MMM, incrementality testing, and experimentation programs at scale.

  • Proficiency with analytics and BI tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R, /Snowflake, Tableau/Power BI/Looker); comfortable guiding technical teams.

  • Familiarity with ad/marketing platforms and data (CDP/CRM, ad servers, DSPs) and privacy/consent frameworks.

  • Exceptional storytelling, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in statistics, economics, marketing science, or related field preferred.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $250,000–$315,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors.
